Claire’s Column – Embracing The New Year

In this regular monthly column – a must read for all those interested in Guildford business – Claire Dee reports on all there is to look forward to in 2013

As the Christmas and new year holiday period approaches, local businesses are either winding down (office workers) or ramping up (shops, bars and restaurants).  Whichever category you fall into, 2012 has been a challenging one and 2013 looks to be much the same.

My own business has had an excellent 12 months; and I plan to make sure it stays that way.  In fact, we already have a whole host of interesting things in the diary including a number of local must-attend events you may also be interested in:

– The Toast of Surrey Business Awards deadline (4 January) and ceremony (7 March).

– Guildford Borough Council’s Breakfast Briefing for Businesses (29 January).

– The Enterprise M3 Annual Conference (28 February).

– The inaugural Surrey Nature Partnership Conference (8 March).

– Surrey Chambers of Commerce Business Women in Surrey annual flagship event on International Women’s Day (8 March).

Perhaps I’ll see you there.

Here’s to a rewarding and prosperous new year for Guildford and Surrey businesses.
