Staff at the Co-op store on Aldershot Road, Guildford, made the most of Hallowe’en by raising £200 for charity.
Their fundraising included the store’s Sammy Rowarth having her head shaved. The money is being donated to the Carers Trust. This is a charity close to Sammy’s heart as she used to be a carer herself and wanted to do something to raise money and awareness for it.
Money was also raised by a sale of cupcakes donated by Kate Fynon of Cupcakes ‘n’ Bakes.
The staff thank everyone who made a donation and for their support. And they hope they will receive similar support for their next charity venture – a saucy calendar featuring male members of staff with fruit and veg carefully positioned to spare their blushes!
