Guildford History Question Time returns, this time hosted by The Pavilion at the Woodbridge Road Cricket Ground on Wednesday, April 12. Doors open at 7pm, first question at 7.30pm.
In a style similar to BBC TV’s Question Time, come along, enjoy a drink and pose a question to a panel of local history experts about Guildford’s long and rich history.
Dragon editor Martin Giles, will chair the evening with a panel comprising: Matthew Alexander (former curator of Guildford Museum), David Calow (long-standing member of the Surrey Archaeological Society), Gavin Morgan (former collections officer at Guildford Museum) and Ben Darnton, publisher of Guildford Past & Present.
If you have a question to ask, please arrive promptly and you will be given a slip of paper on which to write your question. As many questions as possible will be answered.
Martin Giles said: “We have previously held these enjoyable evenings at the Keep pub, and the Guildford Institute. This time The Pavilion, recently rebuilt, wishes to show itself off as a new venue, suitable for many types of event.”
Entry is free and booking is not required but if the venue becomes full it will have to close its doors. A pay bar will be available.
