A community association in the north Guildford area is hosting three public meetings next week where people are invited to express their opinions on Guildford Borough Council’s Draft Local Plan.
The Park Barn & Westborough Community Association is urging people to go along to hear details of the draft plan, ask questions about how it may affect them where they live and give their views.
Members of the association’s committee will be encouraging people to then tell the borough council their views before the September 22 deadline of its public consultation.
Issues, such as parts of Westborough and Park Barn may be surrounded by further housing, there may be more infill within the area’s green spaces, there may be more congestion as people travel through the area, and pressure may be increased on local amenities and schools, will be discussed.
Dates and locations for the meetings:
Monday, September 8: St Francis’ Church Hall, Weston Road GU2 8BU.
Tuesday, September 9: Park Barn Centre, Park Barn Drive GU2 8EN.
Friday, September 12: Emmanuel Church, Shepherds Lane GU2 9SJ.
All meetings start at 7pm.
More details from the chairman of the Park Barn & Westborough Community Association, Wayne McShane, on 07990 592133.
