The National Trust at Dapdune Wharf, Guildford, has opened its Christmas bookshop again for this year’s festive season.
Now open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4.30pm, the shop is packed with children’s books, fiction, non-fiction and stocking fillers.
Like last Christmas, the tearoom has been transformed into a bookshop, but for 2021, hot drinks, pastries and cream teas are available while you browse.
Indoor and outdoor seating is available.
The shop would also be delighted to receive book donations too, so if you have pre-loved books you think would make great presents for someone else, please take them along.
Funds raised are for conservation work along the River Wey Navigations. This year more than £19,000 has been raised that means visitor donations make a huge difference.
Access to the bookshop is from Wharf Road for pedestrians and vehicles. There is also visitor access from the towpath opposite Dapdune Wharf, by following the arrows.
Visitors are welcome to park in the car park and enjoy a towpath walk or a stroll around Dapdune Island as part of their visit too.
