A scheme that provides information and support to help people stay independent is going mobile in Guildford.

The Surrey Hubs is hosting a new pop-up hub every Tuesday at Guildford Library between 10am and 2.30pm.

It will be accessible to everyone and offers information and support to help people stay independent.

Members of The Surrey Hubs team will be offering advice, information and support every Tuesday at Guildford Library.

Teams of experienced volunteers provide a fast, efficient and knowledgeable information service. The hubs offer access to advice and signposting to services for disabled people, older people, carers and families, on topics ranging from welfare benefits advice, advocacy support and information for carers, through to transport enquires, information on housing and access to mobility equipment.

Vikki May, mobile volunteer development worker, said: “Our pop-up hubs are gateways to information, advice and services to help people find the information they need, so they can make informed choices about their care and support options available to them within the community.”

Appointments are not required, just pop along and find out more about how the hub’s team can assist you.

The Surrey Hubs scheme is by Surrey Disabled People’s Partnership.
