Experience the real Christmas story and walk with Mary and Joseph on their journey to Bethlehem, live at Wintershall this Christmas. This is the perfect way to get the entire family into the festive mood.

Enjoy the real story of Christmas at Wintershall near Bramley.

From Wednesday to Monday, December 13 to 18, follow Mary, Joseph and the donkey on the winding, steep road to Bethlehem. Register for the census and journey with other travellers, Roman soldiers and shepherds as you enter the stable to watch the miracle unfold.

The 2023 Wintershall Journey combines an interactive promenade with the traditional Nativity play in Holly Barn Theatre, offering an unforgettable and magical experience and bringing the true meaning of Christmas to life for the whole family.

Actors in biblical costumes, with sheep, donkeys, horses and a sheepdog, take the audience on foot from the open air into the rustic barn, as the story of how Jesus’ birth changed the world unfolds along with songs, music and joyful carolling.

Performances are 90 minutes long and there is free parking. Tickets are priced from £14 to £30 with a family ticket (two adults, two children) priced from £63 to £84.

Book early to secure your preferred date and time. Visitors are encouraged to wrap up warmly and to wear suitable footwear for a country walk.
