European Parliament Election: Voting Details

Here are some details about the forthcoming election for MEPs.

Ballot boxThe UK will vote for their representatives in the European Parliament on Thursday, May 22. The Guildford Borough Council area is part of the South East England (SE) region. This region will elect 10 MEPs for the European Parliament.

You can view the full Statement of Persons Nominated, which shows individuals and political parties, at www.guildford.gov.uk/epe

If you haven’t already registered to vote in elections in the Guildford Borough Council area, make sure you register by the following dates.

  • Tuesday, May 6: deadline for new applications to register to vote
  • Wednesday, May 7, by 5pm: deadline for new applications for a postal vote or to make changes to existing postal or proxy votes
  • Wednesday, May 14, by 5pm: deadline for new applications to vote by proxy
  • Thursday, May 22, by 5pm: deadline for emergency applications to vote by proxy
