Covering a full mix of retail and leisure businesses operating in the town centre, Experience Guildford’s Customer Service Awards gives people the opportunity to sing the praises of businesses and staff they feel offer the best customer service.

It’s now time to vote in Experience Guildford’s 2017 Customer Service Awards.

Launched in 2012, Experience Guildford is the town’s Business Improvement District representing retail and leisure businesses. Along with the Best Bar None awards, Experience Guildford works to help town centre businesses thrive.

Experience Guildford’s general manager Amanda Masters said: “We’re delighted to launch the Experience Guildford Customer Service Awards for a fifth consecutive year. Each year we are thrilled by the public’s positive feedback and engagement with the awards, which in 2016 received well over 4,000 votes.

“We urge people to get behind the awards and recognise the hard work and commitment that all our businesses put into serving the town.”

With more categories to choose from and more businesses competing to win in their sector, this year will represent the most highly contested awards to date.

Categories for the 2017 awards include:

•         Leisure and lifestyle

•         Health

•         Beauty

•         Service providers

•         Professional services

•         Pubs, bars and clubs

•         Coffee shops

•         Restaurants – independent

•         Restaurants – national

•         Food on the go

•         Retail – national small (20 staff or less)

•         Retail – national large (20 staff and over)

•         Retail – independent

Before the winners are announced at the award ceremony on Octorber 2 at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, the top three businesses in each category will be reviewed by an independent judge and secret shopper.

The Shining Star category also offers managers or owners of businesses the chance to nominate staff members they feel should be recognised for great service.

Voting is one now. Visit www.experienceguidlford.com to nominate your favourite businesses or text your vote to 88802 with the message CSA plus the name of your chosen store or business.

Get your vote in by August 29 and you could also win the Customer Service Awards prize draw, with a cash value prize of £1,000 to spend in town.
