Families visiting Cranleigh Show on Saturday, August 3, should be able to go home and create their own ploughman’s lunch from raw materials after watching cheese and bread being made from milk and flour.

There's lots of fun guaranteed at the Cranleigh Show this Saturday, August 4.

The back to basics food demonstrations in the Fun with Farming marquee are designed to connect people with how food is produced and where the ingredients come from. The NFU Roadshow even enables children to find out how to milk a cow. This one won’t kick the pail over, though, as she is made out of wood.

Cranleigh Show is jam-packed with things for children to do and there is even a quiz to encourage them to look around and see all the different animals and rural activities on display.

The Sheep Show is fantastic – yes, sheep can dance – and it’s not just greyhounds that race, terriers are pretty nippy too! Take the family dog and have a go in the fun showing classes which include ‘junior handler’.

Love things with wheels? Cranleigh Show has a brilliant collection of tractors and massive farm machinery. You can’t really get bigger than a giant combine harvester and there will be fire engines to see too.

Come nose to beak with some extraordinary birds in the amazing World of Wings display – new to Cranleigh – and try the mountain bike track, a test for nerve and balance. Brave the climbing wall, fly a Red Arrow in a simulator, drive mini quad bikes, take aim for the target shooting and fling caution to the winds on the bungee trampolines.

Meet all kinds of animals.

Animal lovers will enjoy the cattle, sheep, pigs, horses, goats, donkeys and more.

Keen shoppers can browse locally produced crafts and farm food products as well as a huge variety of stalls selling everything from electric cars to Welsh oggie pies.

Tickets are on sale online from the Cranleigh Show website.
