A drug dealer, caught in the act by police officers, has now been sentenced to three years behind bars after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine.
Ramazan Morina, 28, was sentenced at Salisbury Crown Court on November 13.
Morina was first arrested back on May 24, after he was spotted by officers acting suspiciously in a rental vehicle on Hillcrest Road in Westborough. He was pulled over by officers in a proactive stop and a large amount of white powder and cash was found in the vehicle. He was subsequently arrested and remanded in custody.
Forensic testing proved the powder to be cocaine with a street value of approximately £1,650.
Investigating officer, PC Alex Florance said; “Thanks to the quick-thinking of the officers who proactively stopped Morina and the subsequent thorough investigation, another drug dealer is now off the streets.
“If you come to Surrey to deal drugs, we will pursue you, and wherever possible will bring you to justice. If you suspect drug dealing in your local area, please report it to us.”
