Guildford Parkrun, Saturday, November 23

A new age category record was set by Daniel Wallis, and more than 25% of those who took part recorded new personal bests.

parkrun 3.8.13 001aThere were 194 runners, of whom 11 were first timers and 55 recorded new personal bests. Representatives of 18 different athletics clubs took part.

Men’s placings:
Daniel WALLIS (JM15-19) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was first over the line in 16:24 – nineth time in 17 appearances.
Daniel SULLIVAN (SM25-29) (unattached) was second over the line in 17:57 – was first to finish once before.
Ben EVANS (SM30-34) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was third over the line in 18:04 – has been first to finish on seven previous occasions.

Current standing in the men’s annual points competition:
Daniel Peter HEFFERNAN (unattached) 2,803 pts.
Andrew FLANAGAN (unattached) 2,398 pts.
David WOODCOCK (unattached) 2,344 pts.

Women’s placings:
Cecilia SIRUFFO (SW30-34) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was first (10th overall) over the line in 19:54 – fifth time in 23 appearances.
Eleanor HARRISON (JW15-19) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was second (15th overall) over the line in 20:23 – has been first to finish on 16 previous occasions.
Katie BINGLE (JW15-19) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was third (17th overall) over the line in 20:32 – has been first to finish on two previous occasions.

Current standing in the women’s annual points competition:
Susanne BARNES (Woking AC) 3,086 pts.
Julia BONILLA (unattached) 2,570 pts.
Cecilia SIRUFFO (Guildford & Godalming AC) 2,365 pts.

The following runners recorded the best age grade scores:
Chris FINILL (VM50-54) was graded 84.01% for the time 18:08 (fourth overall).
Daniel WALLIS (JM15-19) was graded 82.32% for the time 16:24 (first overall).
Rod SAXBY (VM45-49) was graded 75.84% for the time 18:50 (fifth overall).

Guildford Parkrun started on March 10, 2012, and since then 2,516 different runners, including participants from 171 athletics clubs, have completed 10,578 runs covering a total distance of 52,890 km, and there have been 2,349 new personal bests.

The women’s record is held by Katherine PHILP who ran in a time of 00:18:46 on May 18, 2013 (event number 60).
The men’s record is held by Tom ALDRED who ran in a time of 00:15:30 on April 7, 2012 (event number 5).
The age grade course record is held by Jane DAVIES who recorded a 90.41% run (22:25) on April 27, 2013 (event number 57).
