A Surrey Police officer based in Guildford was yesterday (September 16) charged with theft following his arrest last month.
PC Stuart Parker, who is a response officer, was arrested on August 12 following a proactive investigation by the Force’s Professional Standards Department.
The charge relates to the theft of money between June 30 and August 12 2014 from a tuck shop based at Guildford Police Station.
PC Parker, 29, is currently suspended from duty and is on bail to appear at Aldershot Magistrate’s Court on October 2.
