Letter: Is SCC Using Minor Bus Lane Infringements to Raise Income?

I don’t think the bus lane topic has been covered for a while (most reports 2019/2020) and I note the Surrey County Council consultation only ran this time last year (see: https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/policies-plans-consultations/roads-and-transport-consultations/bus-lane-enforcement-cameras).

However, despite the consultation, there have been no obvious updates on the SCC site.

I have started hearing of a sudden jump in bus lane fine on Onslow Street in Guildford, including my own brother (in a commercial vehicle) for what judging by the photos was a very minor, wheel crossing infringement.

It looks like SCC may be on a fund-raising exercise all of a sudden.
