In response to: Tory Campaign Leaflet Against Cuts And Increased Parking Charges Called ‘Deeply Dishonest’

If they form a majority at GBC in May 2023 will the Conservatives return parking charges to their current level I wonder? Will they re-instate the Yvonne Arnaud funding to its previous level?

If so, why doesn’t the leaflet say this? Maybe they’re just playing at zero-commitment petty politics, which is easy to do when in opposition?

The cuts the council has had to make to discretionary services have been brought about due to a grant funding take back of £4 million each year to GBC by the Conservative central government.

Conservatives are the cause of these cuts and will certainly never be the cure.

Hypocrisy doesn’t even come close to describing their statements in this politically motivated misinformation leaflet.
