Letter: I Have Found Waitrose Careful With Shopper Numbers

In response to: Supermarkets Crack Down on Maskless Shoppers But Police Back Away

I have always found Waitrose at Guildford (including the garage one in Worplesdon Road) very good about keeping the numbers down.

There was one weekend it was bad in the main store and I complained and on my next visit, it was back to the usual monitored numbers. It has been the best at keeping numbers down.

Tesco and Sainsbury’s slacked off considerably after the first lockdown was over, which is why I stuck with Waitrose as I couldn’t get on the delivery or click and collect service for any supermarket.

I now have my groceries delivered via Amazon Prime.

Perhaps you should try TESCO in Haslemere which has been brilliant in providing cleaning, and disinfecting stations inside, and out as well as traffic lights at the entrance.

The staff are always mindful and make sure masks are worn. Also, there are no empty shelves. Waitrose in Godalming is also excellent.

    Try Waitrose for perfection. Incontrovertible.
