In response to: As Council Cuts Loom ‘Those Affected Are Going to Scream’

Has GBC obtained a proper answer from the relevant government minister as to why we have had no government grants for many years? He or she should be warned that if severe local cuts are caused by this policy, then the Conservative Party should brace themselves for a severe loss of votes at the next opportunity.

Regardless of how any of us and our families have voted in the past, it could be necessary for us to show our displeasure in the democratic way.

I hope that Angela Richardson MP reads The Guildford Dragon NEWS.

Editor’s comment: The cutting of central government grants to local authorities has been government policy for several years. We are confident that Ms Richardson and her private office are aware of articles in The Dragon.
