So Cllr Spooner wants to see the papers. What should the appropriate reply be?

1. Go through the FOI process (18 months plus)
2. Commercially confidential (ie we ain’t telling you)
3. We’ll tell you later
4. Nothing to see here
5. Sorry we’ve got no record of such agreement
6. We don’t need to discuss it with you
7. Make your request formally, in writing
8. Sorry, you didn’t complete the form correctly

Oh what joy to see the boot on the other foot, even if the request is reasonable.
