Letter: We Know Where Oakham Is

We of a certain age all know where Oakham is. It was the default station for Hornby Double-O model railways.
Little-known fact: there is an Occamstrasse in Munich. It’s where local-boy-made-good William of Occam (spelling optional) died in 1347, missing the Black Death by a whisker.
What a shame that signs around the village celebrate various local worthies (including Lord Byron’s gambling-addict daughter Ada Lovelace) but not the scholastic philosopher William, of Occam’s Razor fame.
Editor’s response: Some of the village signs do appear to mention the Ockham Razor:

Lord Byron’s gambling addict (and only legitimate) daughter Ada was a mathematical genius and is the founder of modern computing, having written the first ever computer programme.
It’s a shame her mathematical brain didn’t serve her so well when it came to the races, but given her incredible legacy I think we can forgive her that.
