Police are seeking help identifying two would-be muggers after an assault near Wood Street Village, Guildford, on Sunday, September 22.
A 31 year-old man was walking along Christmas Pie Trail at about 6:40pm when he was grabbed from behind. He was hit in the stomach, but managed to free himself and escape. Luckily, he did not require hospital treatment.
The victim said the men had their faces obscured. One attacker, who had a knife, was white, about 6ft 1ins, stockily built with broad shoulders, piercing blue eyes, clean-shaven and with a black tribal tattoo on the left side of his neck and another tattoo or a ring on one hand. He was wearing a black long-sleeved hooded top with the hood up, blue jeans, and white trainers.
The second man was black, about 5ft 5ins, and skinny, but with a bulging stomach. He was wearing a long-sleeved camouflage hooded top, coloured green, black, and white, black jogging bottoms with white zigzags down the side and brown shoes.
