Macmillam Cancer Support has awarded ‘We made a difference’ certificates to staff at Guildford’s Holiday Inn, thanking them for their support.
The most recent fundraising event there was the big coffee morning that raised £1,800.
The certificates were presented to Rachel Shaw, who is a personal trainer and cancer rehabilitation specialist in the hotel’s Spirit health club, and to operations manager Nick Aristoodemou.
The hotel provided the venue and refreshments for the coffee morning free of charge.
Also to receive a certificate was Guildford Tesco store community champion Sue Keeley, who supplied the delicious cakes for the coffee morning.
Local Macmillan fundraiser Julie Webb and helpers Nerina King and Shirley West said they were “over the moon” to have had such a successful coffee morning and thank the Holiday Inn for its support and for confirming the use of the hotel for next year’s event.
