Man Dies In 4am A3 Collision Between Van and Pedestrian

A man in his twenties has died following a collision with a van on the A3 earlier this morning (Saturday, Jun 3, 2017).

Surrey Police was called just after 4am following a report of a van hitting a pedestrian near to the Thursley junction of the A3 (southbound).

A police spokesperson said: “Officers attended, with colleagues from the South East Coast Ambulance Service and Surrey Fire and Rescue service, but the man was sadly declared dead at the scene. His next of kin and the coroner have been informed. The driver of the van is helping police with their enquiries.

Diversions were put in place from the A3 in both directions between the Hindhead tunnel and Milford while officers carry out their work.
