Merrow Village Bowls Clubs Wins Indoor Match Against Burpham

Members of Merrow Village Bowls Club enjoyed an entertaining indoor match against Burpham on Sunday (February 19).

Played at the at Way Valley Indoor Bowls Club at Stoke Park, all six rinks were used, with Burpham loaning Merrow six players in order that it could provide six teams of four.

Merrow Village Bowls Club took on Burpham Bowling Club on Sunday, February 19.

The club reports that each rink was hard fought with honours even at the end of the match; three rinks each. However, the overall points score favoured Merrow, with a nine-point win.

The afternoon was made complete with a roast chicken dinner followed by dessert, supplied by the staff at Wey Valley.

Merrow’s next indoor match is on Sunday, February 26, at Camberley.

The club meets at its green behind Merrow Village Hall, 177 Epsom Road, Guildford GU1 2QY. Club nights are Tuesday and Thursday from 5pm.
