Guildford MP Anne Milton is supporting Catch22 Surrey in its search for 60 Year 11 students to take part in National Citizen Service (NCS).

This exciting government programme has been set up for 16-year-olds to help them to progress in work or education, and to get more involved with their local community.

The programme will take place for three weeks during August. The first week is a week away at an outdoor activities camp which involves plenty of exciting challenges.

In the second week participants stay local and get stuck into a number of ‘The Apprentice’ style challenges so Year 11s can develop their management skills. In the final week students get involved in a project that is important to them within their local community.

Anne Milton said: “This exciting mixture of outdoor activities, project management skills and local community action provides young people with the opportunity and support to take on new challenges learn new skills and make a difference. It is a wonderful opportunity for Year 11 students so get involved if you can!”

If you are interested in mixing it up this summer, or want more information, visit www.catch-22.org.uk/ncs or contact Catch22 Surrey NCS Programme Co-ordinator, Katy Lynch on 07545507828.
