What better way to chill out on a warm late spring Sunday afternoon than to wander up to the Castle Grounds, find a pew or a patch of grass, and enjoy some perfect mood music provided by a talented local group?
The Emily Windham Trio, with Emily on vocals, mum on bass and brother on guitar, provided the free entertainment.
Emily said: “It was lovely to perform at Guildford Castle Bandstand this afternoon (Sunday May 8). The weather was in our favour and the sun shone for our two hour set of songs from the Great American Songbook, and other contemporary covers.
“It was a great, relaxed family atmosphere with an audience of over 100 people scattered on the lawns, enjoying the sunshine and the music.”
Please see for yourself…

And the Castle Grounds are still looking good at the moment, although the spring bulbs will soon be replaced with summer bedding. But for those who have not had a chance to visit here are a few more images.
