Acclaimed saxophonist and jazz composer Iain Ballamy returns to his hometown for a gig at Guildford’s Guildhall in the High Street on Wednesday, July 2.
His work is eclectic, contemporary and un-encumbered by formality and tradition. Transcending musical genres and forging strong and ongoing relationships with musicians around the globe, notably Scandinavia, Iain has worked with many of the cutting-edge figures of today’s contemporary Jazz scene.
Iain will be joined by some of the most talented musicians of their generation in the UK, with Mercury-award nominated Kit Downes on piano, Conor Chaplin on bass, Tim Giles on drums.

Acclaimed tenor saxophonist Vasilis Xenopoulos has been lauded as the rising star of the London jazz scene since his arrival some eight years ago.
Nigel Price is one of the top UK jazz guitar players, his blend of fiery, flowing bebop lines and deep blues feeling making him instantly accessible and popular with jazz audiences.
