Grants of up to £3,000 are available for projects and services that make a positive difference to local communities. As part of Lloyd’s Helping Britain Prosper Plan, good causes in communities across the UK can benefit from its community fund.

Anne Milton says: “This is a great opportunity for local groups, and one not to be passed up. Please go to www.lloydsbank.com/communityfund and nominate a local good cause in the constituency!”

Organisations which are eligible to be nominated include registered charities, not-for-profit community organisations or groups and social enterprises, such as those whose profits are reinvested in the business for the benefit of the local community.

Nominations can be made online at the website listed above. Once nominated, each group will be invited to directly apply to the community fund online. The deadline is April 30, with applications remaining open until May 9.

The final shortlist of 1,400 good causes will be compiled during May and June and will be put to a public vote in September and October.
