Guildford Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets, based in Dapdune Wharf, will be rising to the challenge of a 24-hour fundraising row-athon, on Concept 2 rowing machines in their unit, from 8am this Saturday, November 9 until 8am on Sunday, November 10.

After a hearty breakfast, the cadets will then be heading to Guildford High Street to take part in the Remembrance Sunday parade.

They are hoping to raise money to send deserving Royal Marine veterans and their young families on a very special Christmas in Norway trip on the annual Families Winter Deployment.

The gauntlet has also been thrown down to the cadets’ parents to join them for their epic challenge.

Guildford Dragon NEWS readers are invited to support the event through a Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/team/guildfordrmcdrowathon.
