Geoff Burch and David Rose are giving their illustrated talk, A Walk Over Perry Hill, on Thursday, April 8, at 7.30pm, via Zoom.

It takes a journey along the A322 Worplesdon Road from the former Perry Hill School, past the green at the top of the hill and down the other side to Rickford Mill.

It features plenty of vintage views of buildings along the way and stories of people from that part of Worplesdon. Also included for the first time is some rare 8mm cine film taken around the green.

Geoff has lived at Perry Hill for most of his life and has a wealth of knowledge of its people and places. David will be adding snippets of information including vintage pictures from his collection.

The talk is in conjunction with the Sime Gallery CIO based at Worplesdon Memorial Hall. The talk will include the artist Sidney Sime who lived at Crown Cottage at Perry Hill.

It costs £5. To book, send an email to davidrosemedia@gmail.com

David will reply with payment details (bank transfer or cheque) and once payment has been received and early next week you will be emailed with the Zoom log in details.
