Cancer Testing South (CTS) organises regular events that offer men over the age of 40 the chance to have a PSA blood test at venues across Surrey, Sussex and South London. And there is one coming to Guildford Fire Station on Ladymead, GU1 1DL on July 17.
You can book a test now online here.
CTS says these tests have helped men to identify early warning signs that they may need to have further tests. Having an early test may significantly prolong a man’s life.
Cancer and other life changing diseases can strike at any time. That is not alarmist but a fact, says CTS. However, we can all reduce the chance of being caught out unexpectedly by being pro-active.
CTS gives men a chance to take responsibility for their health. A simple, pain-free blood test produces a PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) reading which may indicate the presence of prostate disease.
It has a team of professional, fully insured nurses and phlebotomists who have vast experience and knowledge to give men peace of mind when undergoing the tests.
All samples are taken in complete confidence and subsequently sent to a registered laboratory for analysis. Full details of the results will be sent to individuals within 10 days.
