Guildford Area u3a is holding an enrolment day on Tuesday, August 23, at the County School, Farnham Road, Guildford. The event will run from 2pm to 3.30pm.

The object of the u3a is to advance the education of the public and in particular the education of older people no longer in full-time gainful employment in Guildford and its surrounding locality.

If you are interested in finding out more about the specific groups offered, or even more general information about Guildford u3a, this is an ideal event to visit, as most of our group leaders will be in attendance and happy to chat.

You can even join u3a at the event. A year’s membership to Guildford u3a is £30 and this entitles you to join as many groups as you can fit into your diary.

Existing members can renew their membership on line or by post.

For the few groups led by external specialised group leaders, there may be a small additional charge per meeting, to cover their fees.

Members of Guildford u3a out and about promoting what it has to offer to older people.

Likewise, for those groups meeting in pubs or garden centres, members may be required to purchase a coffee or drink during the two-hour meeting.

Parking at the County School is rather limited, so visitors are advised to use the Farnham Road Car Park or come by public transport.
