Guildford Lions Club Family Fun Day At Shalford Park

On Easter Monday, April 17, Guildford Lions will present its annual Family Fun Day in aid of local charities at Shalford Park.

This year, appearing for the first time, will be The Spectacular Knights of the Crusades, who, with their heroic fighting and dazzling pageantry, will transport the audience back to a world of mythical England.

With a castle backdrop, medieval banners, period costume, armour and pyrotechnics, the knights will create two fantastic epic displays – A Tale of Richard the Lionheart and The Legend of King Arthur.

Oak Barn Vets will host the fun dog show, with TV vet Jamie Crittall providing his commentary and judging skills for this popular event. As many dogs as possible are encouraged to enter – no fancy rules will apply, just some good fun and a chance to show off your favourite pet.
In keeping with the origins of a fair at St Catherine’s Hill, that overlooks Shalford Park, which dated back to the Middle Ages, there will be a host of other activities to keep the family entertained and amused. Refreshments will be available from the food and craft market and a licenced bar.

All profits will be used to support the local community. For more information, visit www.guildfordlions.com.
