Guildford Lions Club makes a return to its calendar of charitable event, with Music in the Park, an outdoor concert and picnic on the lawn of Hatchlands Park at East Clandon Park on Sunday, July 11.
Open from 5.30pm, take a picnic and lay lazily on the lawn while being serenaded by the sound of live opera, jazz, musical theatre and pop music from the stage from 7pm to 9pm.
Returning to perform will be Andy Hart and the Voices Choir, joined by an outstanding line-up of musical talent, soon to be announced.
This event will be raising valuable funds necessary to support charity Cherry Trees of East Clandon, which provides home-from-home specialist short breaks for children and young people with disabilities.
Tickets are priced at £25 for adults / under 16s free.
Car parking is available on site and is also free. Gazebos may be erected in a designated area.
Hatchlands Park’s cafe will be open. The event will be Covid compliant, run in accordance with Government and National Trust guidelines in force at the time.
Although fundraising has been problematic throughout the pandemic, through a number of online events and other initiatives, Guildford Lions Club has continued to support local food banks, families and individuals in dire need.
Additionally, Guildford Lions have sourced, refurbished and supplied laptop computers to deserving children along with 870 activity kits to 16 local schools.
