Notice: Summer Boat Trips For Disabled People, Their Carers, Family And Friends

Surrey Care Trust is offering accessible boat trips to disabled local people and their carers, friends and family at a reduced rate this summer.

Swingbridge 1, one of two narrow boats operated by Surrey Care Trust for community activities.

Swingbridge 1, the trust’s 40ft broad-beam boat has an all-weather canopy and is equipped with a wheelchair lift so it is fully accessible for disabled people or people with limited mobility.

Passengers can enjoy a two hour relaxing cruise along the River Wey through Guildford for just £7.50 per person. Trips depart from the National Trust’s Dapdune Wharf and passengers can bring lunch or snacks. Drinks will be provided by the crew.

Trips take place on Tuesday, July 30, at 1.30pm; Tuesday, August 6 at 10.30am; Thursday, August 8 at 1.30pm; and Tuesday, August 20 at 10.30am.
