Guildford’s Honorary Remembrancer, Matthew Alexander, will be running his series of local history lectures and visits to sites of historic importance again this year throughout the autumn and winter at Guildford Museum in Quarry Street.
Based in and around Guildford town centre, you will discover the town’s rich history and gain access to many of the fascinating historical sites of Guildford has to offer.
This twenty-week course gives an overview of the development of Guildford through the ages.
For the first hour of each session, Matthew will provide an overview of the week’s particular learning topic before embarking on a tour, to explore that week’s historic site in detail.
The programme will run at Guildford Museum on Wednesday mornings between 10am to 12 noon.
The course begins on Wednesday, September 29th, with 20 sessions, broken down into two ten-week terms.
The cost for 20 sessions is £111, which can be paid for in two payments, per ten-week term.
Further details are available from Guildford Museum by calling 01483 444751.
