Notice: Wood Street Jazz Festival is Back in Aid of Challengers

The Wood Street Jazz Festival in aid of the children’s charity Challengers will be returning on Sunday, July 17. This will be its eighth year.

All money raised will support local disabled children and young people, helping them to access play and leisure opportunities.

There will be performances by the award-winning Nigel Price and his band, paying homage to the American jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery, alongside the Claude Deppa/Clare Hirst Latin Salsa Band, and the Somethin’ Else Big Band.

Tickets booked in advance cost £20 (£18 for Guildford Jazz members), or £70 for a group of four. Under 18s get in free.   Similar to last year, there will be the chance to pre-order food.

Due to the unpredictable British weather, this year the stage will be placed under a marquee.
