Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a serious assault at a Guildford nightclub last month.

The victim suffered a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain in an assault at the Casino about 1.30am on Sunday, June 23.

The man was out with friends at the nightclub in Onslow Street when he was approached and punched, causing him to lose consciousness. The victim was in hospital for several days before reporting the attack.

Detective Constable Pete Coe, who is investigating, said: “We have released an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with this assault in the hope that someone will recognise him and come forward and identify him. The victim is still suffering from complications and we are keen to identify the man in the image as soon as possible and continue to progress our investigation.”
