Police Seek Help to Identify Fire-starters with ‘Zero Regard for Public Safety’

Can you identify these youths?

Police officers were called by staff at Massimo Dutti on the High Street in Guildford called police last month to report intruders on the roof and the smell of smoke.

Surrey Police is now appealing for help to identify suspects.

The incident occurred a little after 7pm on Wednesday, 15 June,  Surrey Fire and Rescue also attended and found a fire had been started on the roof of the building.

Further images of the two young males the police would like to speak to.

A police spokesperson said: “Fortunately, nobody at the scene reported any injuries or required medical treatment.

“We are now looking to identify the two boys in the attached images, who are believed to have been on the roof at the time the fire was started.”

Investigating officer PC Folkes added: “These two individuals have shown zero regard for public safety, starting the fire when shop workers were in the store.”

The spokesperson continued: “If you have any information that can help us identify the two boys in these images, please contact us quoting PR/45220063618 via:

“If you do not wish to leave your name, please call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
