Popworld Suspect Was Remanded in Custody

Surrey Police has confirmed that the suspect arrested at Popworld in the early hours of Sunday, March 2, and later charged with serious assault, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and possession of a bladed article, was remanded in custody.

Despite some claims from the proprietors in Guildford that the suspect had been granted conditional bail, Surrey Police has today, at the request of the Dragon NEWS, confirmed that the 18-year-old male, not thought to be from Guildford, was remanded in custody and is next due to appear in court on April 3.

Police have also said that two people, The Dragon believes to be female, were taken to hospital following the incident and were released the same day having received treatment.
