Scores of people have been enjoying the warm sunny weather this week visiting Guildford’s Castle Grounds, which is a riot of colour with the spring bedding looking absolutely fantastic.
On Tuesday lunchtime (April 14) it was packed with people of all ages soaking up the sunshine while having their lunch.
A number had decided to ignore the ‘keep off the grass’ signs in one specific area and were enjoying picnics with their youngsters.
Guildford Borough Council’s parks department must be congratulated for once again putting on a superb display of springtime plants of sumptuous colours surrounding the old ruins.
This week the warm weather is expected to peak today (Wednesday) with temperatures in Guildford predicted by the Met Office to hit a high of 22c. They are then expected to drop back again and we can expect sunny intervals with cloudy weather as the weekend approaches.

Lovely photos of the castle and grounds.
I am sitting here in the Voluntary Action South West Surrey office in Castle Street looking out at the wonderful flowers and all the visitors milling around.
