Here’s a big thank you to everyone who has read our stories over the past 12 months, and especially those who have taken the time to add comments and written letters – we really do appreciate your support.

And a massive thank you to all our contributors, whose stories and photographs are helping this Guildford online newspaper go from strength to strength. We are confident that our content is what more and more people in the borough of Guildford want to read – a media force that combines modern technology with good, old fashioned community values and spirit.

Let’s spare a thought for anyone badly affected by today’s floods and hope that they can still have, with everyone in the whole borough, a safe and merry Christmas and a really happy new year!

We should be thanking you. An amazing amount of work goes into the Dragon stories and I visit your site at least once a day to keep up to date. I hope all Dragons have a very happy Christmas and I look forward to reading more local stories in 2014.

We know we are unable to cover everything but we do our best and the contributions from readers, including several councillors, not always obviously, are absolutely essential to us. I always check to see what the ‘latest in Guildford’ is on the Dragon.

Can I second Mr Neogi’s comment. I also like the touches of humour and the odd running joke from the Eds. Happy New Year and not such wet weather.
