Joao Goncalo, the owner Journeys wine bar and delicatessen, promises you a “symphony of wine and cheese” in his new establishment in Tunsgate.

Open every day, Joao encourages people to “come along for some premium cheese and Columbian coffee, both local to the UK and France and Italy”.

Why call it Journeys? The charming and knowledgeable Joao said: “I’ve worked around the world managing restaurants on cruise ships and I want to take my customers on a journey of tastes and senses of fines wines and foods.

Journeys wine bar and delicatessen is in Tunsgate Guildford.

“There is a strong Portuguese presence here. We have small plates of cheese and charcuterie and, if you want, we can tailor a board for you.

“We opened at the begining of May and have been doing well. Everybody who has come in has left here well satisfied.

“We are a small family business, me and my other half with my daughter coming in to help during the weekends.”

Opening times are Monday to Thursday 11am to 9pm, Friday 11am to 10pm, Saturday 9am to 10pm and Sundays and bank holidays  from 10am to 6pm.
