There is a new optician in Market Street, Ollie Quinn. It opened on March 4 and regional manager, Kavita Patel was there with the shop manager, Loredana Lo Re, to see it was all working perfectly.

Staff in the light, bright, new shop said they were thrilled to open a branch in Guildford: “It is a prosperous town and we think people will love our glasses and products.

“Guildford has such a diverse demographic that Ollie Quinn will fit right in.”

And what has been customer reaction so far? Loredana Lo Re said: “We have had an excellent start. People have been so welcoming. I think people are delighted at shops opening again.”

Ollie Quinn is a growing chain with 12 branches mainly in London, but also in Brighton, Bristol and in the north.

They offer the usual range of opticians service. Every pair of glasses starts from £125 with frame and standard single vision lens. It doesn’t matter which frame, the price is the same but different lenses cost different amounts.

Kavita Patel said: “All frames in the shop are our own brand. We don’t sell to other optician’s.

“We design to the gaps in the market to make sure we are on trend and at an affordable price. We see ourselves as a boutique opticians.
