Twelfth Night Revels This Saturday, January 6

Pilgrim Morris Mens’ Twelfth Night revels take place in Guildford this Saturday (January 6).

They will be touring pubs in the town centre performing their traditional mummers play, singing folk songs and telling stories and wassailing the night away!

The colourful mummers gather at the start of their 2017 celebrations.

The venues are:

The Star from 7pm, when the King of Misrule is chosen, 7.300pm approx, mummers play.

The Keep, Castle Street at 8pm.

The Angel Hotel at 8:30pm, singing and storytelling in its fine gallery hall.

The Three Pigeons, High Street. at 9:30pm.

The Royal Oak, Sydenham Road at 10:15pm, where they say “we’ll stay until we’re no longer welcome!”
