Vision Group Issue Press Release On Council Leader’s ‘Unfortunate’ Remarks

The Guildford Vision Group (GVG) has this morning issued a press release on: “The furore that has burst around unfortunate remarks by the Leader of the Council”. 

Following a challenge from GVG on the legality of the decision, taken at the most recent Executive meeting (June 20) to adopt documents setting out how consultation on the Local Plan would be organised, Council Leader, Stephen Mansbridge (Con, South Ash & Tongham), compared the group’s influence over Guildford with the IRA’s influence over communities in Northern Ireland.
