A self-funded research study is recruiting local participants in Guildford throughout June to test a pioneering textile technology designed to support wellbeing.
There are three scientists I’m working closely alongside to run a series of double-blind scientific trials during June, in central Guildford. These trials will evaluate the effects of my wearable technology on both mental and physiological wellbeing, with the aim of publishing a paper and securing future funding for a clinical study and/or investment.
While I’m not a scientist by training, I was honoured to receive an InnovateUK “Women in Innovation” Award for this development. This led to invitations to present at The GREAT Festival of Innovation at the British Embassy in Hong Kong, and to collaborate with several research institutes and labs around the UK.
Earlier pilot studies showed promising results and helped us refine the next steps. Now we are seeking volunteers for a controlled trial to help test the latest version of the technology.
