Are you looking for a way to keep fit over the winter months?

Wey Valley Indoor Bowls Club at Stoke Park is hosting an open weekend on on Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29, from 10am to 2pm.

Visitors will be welcome to look around the club and see what it has to offer and experience a friendly and welcoming environment.

The club was opened in 1972 and is often described as Guildford’s ‘hidden gem’.

It is a six-rink indoor bowls club with a 10-rink shortmat green, offering competitive and social bowling for people of all ages.

There is a well-stocked bar café and the club area is available to host events, parties and meetings.

Wey Valley says:”Indoor bowls is not just great exercise. It is a safe way to make friends and to become part of a community of like-minded people. It’s a hobby that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and there are growing numbers of younger men and women that are taking up bowls competitively.”
