Witness Appeal Following Assault on Six-year-old Car Passenger

Surrey Police is appealing for the public’s help with an ongoing investigation, following a road rage incident where it is alleged a child was punched in the stomach.

Officers were called to Normandy on Saturday, April 9 following reports of a six-year-old child being assaulted. The child was in the back of a grey Toyota Hilux 4×4 parked on the A323 junction of Guildford Road and the A324 Pirbright Road.

It was reported the man has opened the rear car door and punched the child in the stomach before getting back into the car and driving off.

A 44-year-old man from Camberley has been arrested in connection with this investigation. He has since been released under investigation.

Investigating officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or have any further information or dashcam footage to contact us.
