Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Compton yesterday (June 8).

Officers were called at around 2.50pm following a collision on the B3000 in Compton involving two vehicles, a white Nissan Micra and a blue Mazda 2.

The driver of the Nissan, a 64-year-old man, sadly died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

The driver of the Mazda was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The B3000 was closed between Priorsfield Road and The Street for around six hours in order to conduct a thorough investigation, and the road was reopened at around 9pm.

“If you would rather not speak to police, you can call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
