Appeal For Witnesses After Road Rage Chase on A3 Through Guildford

Police are seeking witnesses after a road rage incident which started on the northbound A3 at Thursley and continued through Guildford until the vehicles, a white BMW and a blue Mercedes van, were stopped in a layby before Junction 10 at Wisley.

The incident happened between 3.30pm and 4pm on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

Officers arrested the driver of the white BMW, a 30-year-old man from Petersfield, Hampshire, on suspicion of possession of a bladed article, threats to kill and driving without insurance. He has since been released under investigation.

PC Chris Nicholson, of the Surrey Police Roads Policing Unit, said: “This road rage incident could easily have ended in a serious collision, injury or worse. We urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dash-cam footage, to come forward and help us with our enquiries.”
